I’ve been getting the cakes/cupcakes for a few years here to celebrate my son’s bday, each time I left the store with this unpleasant feelings, people that works there never shows interest in answering questions in a nice way, it seems like they don’t care about your business and to make things more complicated, the cooling machine is extremely laugh that makes it hard to talk with the the people at the counter. I said last year “this is my last time”, but I came back again. This is a cake shop, little smile would make things a lot nicer.

I have been ordering from Larks for years, and while the Ice Box cake is always a crowd pleaser, the chocolate mousse cake I ordered for my most recent party took things to a new level. Guests were coming up for seconds before I had even finished cutting the remainder of the cake. Several people have since reached out asking for the bakery's name and the specific cake flavor. This one is a 100 out of 10!

Picked up a last minute carrot cake for my partner's birthday and it was wonderful! I hadn't called in the order or anything, it was so convenient to be able to just walk in and grab a full, fantastic cake day-of! Everyone at the birthday celebration raved about the cake all night and said it was the best carrot cake they've ever had. I also got myself a cupcake for the road when I picked up the cake and it was fantastic!

Excellent experience! I ordered a birthday cake for my husband's birthday several days in advance online, I was a bit worried since we live almost an hour away, but it arrived exactly on time! All my special instructions were noted. The driver was super friendly and polite. The cake itself was yummy too! I will definitely order again and recommend the store to my friends! Thank you!!

This is strictly a post about taste and is not intended to be rude or mean, but to inform folks who may have expectations of a conventional cake and be disappointed like I have been. My wife does not even want to disclose how much we spent on this cake and agrees we will never get a cake from Lark again. We got a cake for my son’s four year old birthday. It was a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and a white cake with vanilla frosting. It looks beautiful and the actual cake is not bad at all. But the frosting is offensive. The frosting on Lark cakes has very little sugar and the texture of waxy butter. It is not only a tease but ruins the entire bite even as the cake part is fine. Compared to a butter cream or icing on cake from Suzie Cakes, Vons, Costco or Nothing Bundt Cakes, the frosting has no flavor at all and a waxy butter texture. At the birthday party several little kids returned the cake because they said it wasn’t good. We had nearly 50 people at the party and were left with more than half the cake left because people just did not like how it tastes. Now it’s sitting there on our stove and I’m just disappointed that we have this several hundred dollar thing that isn’
